In June 1975 Hans Richter began the collection of his own graphic works annotating it with jotted comments and reminiscences intending to prepare a volume that would clearly recontruct the development of his work from 1902, the date of the first drawing here published, till the present. A short while later Hans Richter became gravely ill and on February first, 1976 he passed away, leaving nonetheless, well defined in its structure. This
