It is caramel brown, true to the shunkei nuri style of lacquerware. It is two tiered with a lid that features a chopstick holder as a lid handle. The bottom box has a handle for easy carrying. A pair of chopsticks is included. While it can be used for small meals, it can also be used as a sweets container or kashiki for sencha and tea ceremonies.
