These handsome ships sailed only a few more years into the mid-1970s before being sold out of the fleet

In 1964 the company sold the two ships to Orient Overseas where they sailed as the ORIENTAL PEARL and ORIENTAL JADE before being scrapped in 1974

The ARAWA sailed until her date with the breakers in 1954
