otherwise it is wonderful considering it's 200 years old now

and it's never been in a frame

unfortunately it's lost most of the painted decoration from the smooth pearl so I can't quite tell

attesting to the care someone's family went to to keep it

The fine portrait in oil is done on canvas which remains on its wood stretcher. I've noted the measurement of the painting aperture because it's a little difficult to be certain of the full stretched painting from behind. The gold frame (wood) is overly broad and created a fine display. Full measurements noted on the photos. Very good to excellent
