部屋の中で、どうしても大きなサイズのベッドが、それ自体の存在感をなるべく無くしてくれて、ただその上で過ごす時間をなるべく快適に、そよ風のようなものであったらいい。

pillar は英語で柱、時には中心的存在。すごく長さは短いけど、ときに化石が入っていることもあるこのライムストーンの天板との組み合わせによって、形状は違うけど少しだけローマ時代の柱を想像させる。イタリアのバールのカウンターでも石がよく使われている。

ふと思いついた。このバランスをそのまま木に置きかえて作ったらいいかもしれない。
